Setting Up a Wallet on Binance Smart Chain (BSC) for GTC Wallet

What is MetaMask?

MetaMask is a popular digital wallet initially designed for Ethereum but has since expanded to support Binance Smart Chain (BSC) and various other blockchains. Functioning as a browser extension, MetaMask allows you to store and manage digital assets and interact with decentralized applications (dApps).

In the GTC ecosystem, MetaMask is a crucial tool enabling access to DeFi services, asset management on BSC, and unique features like .bnb domain services and GTC Token staking.

How to Set Up MetaMask on Binance Smart Chain (BSC)?

Step 1: Download and Install MetaMask

  1. Visit the official .

  2. Download and install the MetaMask browser extension for your preferred browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, or Brave).

Step 2: Create a New Wallet

  1. After installation, click "Create Wallet".

  2. Set a username and password for your wallet.

Step 3: Securely Store Your Secret Recovery Phrase

  1. MetaMask will provide a 12-word Secret Recovery Phrase. This phrase is your key to recovering your wallet.

  2. Store this phrase in a safe location. It’s highly recommended to write it down and keep it secure. Losing this phrase means you cannot recover your wallet.

Step 4: Connect MetaMask to Binance Smart Chain (BSC)

By default, MetaMask is connected to Ethereum Mainnet. To use GTC on BSC, manually add the BSC network:

  1. Open MetaMask and navigate to Settings > Networks > Add a Network.

  2. Enter the following details:

    • Network Name: Binance Smart Chain

    • RPC URL: https://bsc-dataseed.binance.org/

    • Chain ID: 56

    • Currency Symbol: BNB

  3. Click Save.

  4. Your wallet will now be connected to the Binance Smart Chain network.

Step 5: Add GTC Token to MetaMask

To manage GTC Tokens in MetaMask, add the token manually:

  1. Select "Import Tokens".

  2. Enter the GTC Token smart contract address on BSC. (Contact the GTC support team for the correct information.)

  3. Click "Add Token" to complete the process.
